Glass Vase Decorating Tips

• You can use a glass vase to help decorate your home for any holiday. You can fill the glass vase with items that pertain to the holiday that you are celebrating. Fill the glass vase with glass bulb ornaments for Christmas, black and orange wrapped candies for Halloween or candy hearts for Valentine's Day. You don't have to fill the vase to the brim, 1/3 or 2/3 of the way full is fine.

Beach Theme

• Fill a glass vase 1/3 of the way full with sand, then another 1/3 of the way full with seashells for a beach theme. You can fill the vase 2/3 of the way full with sand and then just place a few seashells on top of the sand if you don't have a lot of shells. Don't worry if you don't have a beach nearby where you can gather some sand, you can find it at a craft store, as well as seashells.

• Glass vases are an easy option if you are looking to decorate for a party. You can fill a vase with something to suit almost any party decor and then use them as centerpieces. Fill glass vases with pink or blue candies, pacifiers or rattles for a baby shower. Fill vases with large lollipops for a child's birthday party. You can even fill a glass vase with sports whistles for a Super Bowl party centerpiece.

Functional Glass Vase

• Another way you can decorate with a glass vase is to decorate the vase itself so it can serve a function in your come. Cut shapes from different colors of vinyl using a craft knife. Adhere the shapes onto your glass vase. You can use a decorated glass vase to hold keys near the door, spare change on your dresser, pens and pencils near the phone or any other number of things. Using a glass vase in manner helps to keep your house neat and organized. Use a frosted glass vase for this project if you don't want the items inside the vase to be completely visible.
