Instructions

    • 1

Draw a straight line on the wall to use as a guide for the bottom edge of the stencil.

    • 2

Position the stencil paper and lightly tape it to the wall.

    • 3

Trace the marks onto the wall or onto masking tape.

    • 4

Create a palette on a plastic lid or disposable plate.

    • 5

Paint with the lightest color first.

    • 6

Use a brush that is smaller than the design opening. Dip it into the paint and swirl it on a paper towel before applying it to the wall.

    • 7

Use a rubbing, circular motion with the brush working from the outside in for a smooth effect.

    • 8

Hold the brush perpendicular to the wall and dab the paint onto the wall for a speckled effect. Work from the outside in.

    • 9

Carefully remove tape and stencil paper.

    • 10

Place the stencil paper adjacent to the previous position.

    • 11

Repeat until entire length of wall is completed.
