If you have one of these carpets and it is over fifty years old it may be considered antique, but most antique carpets go back hundreds of years and are therefore worth more. To sell your antique rugs, there are a couple of different outlets you will want to consider to find the option that will work best for you.

  Write a vivid description of your rug. Be sure to include the age and type it is. You will still want to take photos that you can include in your ad or that will be available for potential buyers. Be honest in your description and mention any faults the carpet may have. Include the measurements in your ad.
