Instructions

    • 1

Cut the floor cloth to the size you need, leaving an extra 2 inches around all edges for hemming. Fold and iron the hem and then glue it into place using white fabric glue.

    • 2

Using a sponge, coat the primed canvas with a mix of one part paint to two parts water and one part matte emulsion glaze. Let it dry and then apply a second coat using a large paintbrush.

    • 3

Using a small paintbrush, paint a dark border around the edge of the canvas. Let dry.

    • 4

Paint your floor cloth by using a sponge and stencils or a decorator's sponge. You also can lightly draw your own design in pencil or charcoal and then paint with a paintbrush. Let dry.

Lightly sand the surface and apply a varnish with matte acrylic to finish.
