What Is Microplush?

Microplush, a registered trademark of Monterey Mills and the Denali brand, features knitted fabrics of fine denier acrylic fibers. Since launching in 1965, Monterey Mills produces knitted pile fabrics for industrial and domestic use.
  1. Characteristics

    • Microplush, a single-sided fabric, features soft, velvet-like fibers. This knitted pile fabric does not wick away moisture, but retains warmth better than fleece. Microplush can include raised patterns similar to the tufted appearance of chenille.

    Products

    • The Denali Microplush throw collection started production in 1998. Made in Wisconsin, Microplush products include bedspreads, shams, bed skirts and throws.

    Care

    • Microplush resists stains, odors and mildew. It is also machine washable and colorfast, making it easier to care for bedding and throws.
