Poly Cotton Uses

Bed Sheets

• Bed sheets are made in a poly-cotton blend. These type of sheets require less ironing, as the material is stiffer and less apt to wrinkle. The blend can be taken straight from the dryer to the bed. The amount of cotton in the blend varies by product. Poly-cotton sheets can come in a variety of colors and thread counts. They may be used in hotels as they are more durable and longer lasting than their cotton counterparts.

Shirts

• Poly-cotton shirts do not cling to the body as cotton shirts do. A poly-cotton shirt is weaved to allow air to circulate, keeping you cooler compared to the thicker cotton material. This type of shirt is used for laborers and may hold up better to debris and weather elements. As with poly-cotton bed sheets, the shirt won't be as wrinkled as a cotton shirt and can be worn straight from the dryer.

Car Seat Covers and Furniture

• Seat covers are just one piece of upholstery that poly-cotton is used for. Couches, chairs and ottomans are other types of furniture that may use cotton-poly blends. The seat covers are less likely to tear and are more durable against dirt and debris brought into the car. These type of seat covers are protective from sun light and are flame retardant.
