How to Use European Shams

Euro shams add a classy decorative touch to the bedroom. While the shams come in a wide variety of colors and patterns, all are 26 by 26 inches in size. Using Euro shams allows the decorator to switch out the shams whenever a change in decor is desired.   Select Euro shams in colors or patterns to match your bedroom decor. They are commercially available in a variety of styles, or can be ordered or sewn from available patterns. The shams can be purchased online or in the home furnishings and decorating departments of many retail stores.

  Purchase one 26-by-26-inch pillow to fill each sham. Euro-size pillows are available in the home furnishings and decor sections of retail outlets, as well as from online retailers.

  Fill each sham with a pillow by placing the pillow inside the sham through the sham opening. Some shams have openings in the back, while others open on the side. The pillow should fit snugly.

  Arrange the Euro-sham-covered pillows on the bed with the bed pillows. Create groupings or place them behind or in front of other bedding items.
