How to Care for a Down Duvet

Down comforters and duvets provide exquisite comfort but also come with a unique set of care instructions. Unlike traditional duvets or sheets, down duvets cannot be tossed haphazardly into the washing machine and tumbled through a dryer.   Wash your comforter with a special-purpose down comforter soap. Down duvets should be washed in cold water on the gentlest cycle available, then dried on low heat or hung out to dry.
