Chillow Directions

Maintaining a cool pillow at night can sometimes be a nuisance. Pillows that lose their chill in the middle of the night can cause plenty of tossing and turning. There are various solutions to this common inconvenience, including the Chillow, a SoothSoft product. This unique cushioning device can be used as is or with a standard pillow. It is filled with regular tap water and is designed to stay cool all night.

Instructions

    • 1

Unroll the Chillow on a flat, waterproof surface, with the valve facing up.

    • 2

Remove the cap from the valve. Measure 8 to 9 cups of warm water into a large, easy-to-pour container. Grasp the valve with one hand and slowly pour the water into the Chillow with the other.

    • 3

Place the cap back onto the valve and press firmly to snap it into place. Allow the Chillow to remain on a flat surface for a minimum of four hours.

    • 4

Roll up the Chillow, starting slowly at the end opposite the valve, to force the air into the valve end, creating an air pocket.

    • 5

Hold the rolled Chillow with the air bubble in place. Slightly lift the valve corner and remove the valve cap to release the trapped air. Slowly sweep your hand across the air pocket to force out the rest of the air. Place the cap back onto the valve and press firmly to create a vacuum seal.

    • 6

Unroll the Chillow and let it set to completely cool. The Chillow should appear wrinkly, indicating there is no remaining air inside. Repeat Step 5 if necessary to remove all air.

    • 7

Place the Chillow in the refrigerator for five to 10 minutes before use to enhance the cooling sensation. Place the Chillow, uncovered, on your pillow or any soft absorbent surface.

    • 8

Clean the Chillow occasionally to remove any natural oils from your skin. Use a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent to gently wipe the surface of the Chillow.
