Begin painting only if it's not overly humid or cold in your house. Temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit or high humidity levels slow down the drying process.
Apply a thin layer of room-temperature enamel paint onto the surface(s) you are painting. Make sure the paint is not cold, as this slows down the drying process. Avoid painting so thick that paint drips down the wall or other surface, as thick paint layers increase drying time.
Set up large, oscillating room fans -- directed toward the area(s) you painted -- to shorten the drying time. The more moving air that blows on the fresh enamel paint, the faster it will dry.
