What Color to Paint the Walls in a Night Sky Bedroom

Starry Starry Night

• One simple variation on night-sky-themed walls uses a palette of black and white. For this design, you’ll be replicating the starry sky in the dead of night. You’ll start by painting your walls black, making sure you achieve full coverage. Next, you’ll use a star-shaped stencil to paint white stars on your walls. You could also opt to use a luminescent paint over the white stars for a beautiful glow once you’re ready to drift off to sleep.

Stormy Skies

• Another night-sky theme involves the use of a dark navy blue base with dark gray details. To replicate a stormy night, you’ll want to start with a base coat of navy blue on the walls. After you’ve painted the base, create angry-looking gray thunderclouds toward the top half of the walls. For this design you might want to add a scattering of dim stars to your walls. Finish this look off with a bright half moon hidden partially behind one of the clouds.
