Determine your favorite color palette with the colors that you came up with in Step 1. A lot of this process is about taste and preference, so don't be afraid to go with a color that is appealing to you.
Narrow your color choices with the fact that you may eventually want to sell the home. Wild and bright colors can deter potential homebuyers, while subtle classic colors invite them to make an offer. Bright color can always be added through less permanent elements, like throw cushions and area rugs.
Keep in mind the gray and choose a color that has some gray tones in it. This softens the contrast between the floor and the cabinets.
