Instructions

    • 1

Pick the right kind of paint. Bathrooms, like other damp areas, require paint that has some sheen. Semigloss paint is an example of such a paint.

    • 2

Cover the floor and everything else in the bathroom with plastic or cloth. Cover the tops of door frames and windows, as well as windowsills, with masking tape. Put masking tape on the walls where the ceiling meets the wall to keep the paint from getting onto it. You may also want to remove lighting fixtures and ceiling fans, or paint around them.

Paint the edge of the ceiling where it meets the walls using your brush. Use a roller or a sprayer to paint the rest of the ceiling.
