Troubleshooting Exit Lights

Low battery voltage and lamp malfunction are two common issues that occur with exit lights. When the battery is depleted, the exit light lamp will not stay on during testing. When the lamp fails to light at all during testing, the battery is likely damaged. If the battery fails to charge, it must be replaced. If the lamp fails to light continually, it must also be replaced. Inspecting both parts first will help you streamline your troubleshooting task.
