Instructions

    • 1

Open up the fixture to be fitted after turning off power in a fluorescent. This includes removing elements such as the ballast and bracket that hold the lamp. You can recycle or dispose of these later.

    • 2

Slice the ballast input from the splice at six inches and the strip lead at three by eight inches.

    • 3

Join the 18 AWG black and white ballast with the RT5R ballast. You can also install reflectors at this stage.

    • 4

Place the input splice wire under the splice box to cover it, and then join the two with the TEK screws. Complete the connection and wiring as well as the ground assembly in accordance with the supply wire.

    • 5

Attach the reflectors by connecting the bracket end to the side with the notch, and then twist to screw them in.

    • 6

Lock the two components into place with a fastener and move them until all the reflectors are in place.

    • 7

Insert a hinge into the bracket slot and slide them into a corner to install the louver.

    • 8

Repeat the previous step with the adjacent hinge, to lock the latches and louver into place.
