Space out stick-on, battery operated lights equidistant around one side of the bicycle wheel. Peel off the adhesive tape and press the lights down to secure them in place. Ensure the lights are easy to access to turn on the completed chandelier.
Cut five pieces of rope measuring 36 inches long. Cut 10 pieces of rope measuring 24 inches long. Cut 20 pieces of rope measuring 18 inches long.
Cover the outside rim of the bicycle wheel with a thin layer of hot glue. Wrap the rim with rope, moving through the spokes, and press to the hot glue. Continue until the entire wheel is wrapped with rope.
String wooden pony beads on to the lengths of rope cut in step 2. Vary the colors and numbers of beads on the ropes to create an interesting visual effect. Tie a thick knot at the bottom of each rope to secure the beads in place.
Sort the ropes into piles according to length. Take a rope measuring 36 inches long. Tie the open-end of the rope to the spokes in the center of the bicycle wheel. Continue to add 36-inch ropes to create a small circle in the center of the wheel.
Tie a rope measuring 24 inches just outside of the perimeter of the circle created in the previous step. Continue to add ropes to create another circle of ropes using all the ropes measuring 24 inches long.
Repeat the rope-tying process to add a circle of 18-inch-long ropes outside the circle of 24-inch-long ropes. Space ropes apart so the entire wheel looks covered and lush. Add a small drop of hot glue to each knot to further secure the ropes to the wheel spokes.
Cut four, equal lengths of fishing line. Tie the fishing line to the top of the wheel spokes so the lights and the ropes face down. Tie a loop in the end of each piece of fishing line in the end that is not attached to the chandelier.
Screw an eye hook into the ceiling where the chandelier will hang. Loop the loops made in the fishing line over the eye hook to suspend the chandelier from the ceiling.
