Instructions

    • 1

Remove any beads or crystals that hang from the chandelier. Wash the remaining parts with dish soap and warm water. Rinse off the soap and scrub the outside of the fixture with orange degreaser cleaner. Use a sponge with a scrubber back to remove built-up grime. Rinse the lamp and allow it to air dry.

Cover the entire surface of the chandelier with a light coat of spray paint. Allow the paint to dry, then add another light coating and allow it to dry completely.

    • 3

Sand the edges of all the arms of the chandelier with a find sandpaper. Work on the paint until you rub through both layers, all the way to the bare metal beneath. Vary the amount of metal you uncover from arm to arm, to mimic natural wear.

Replace the beads and crystals on the chandelier, replace the light bulbs and hang it to light your shabby chic room.
