How to Use LED Lights With Timers

Light-emitting diode (LED) lights are known for their long operating life -- up to 100,000 hours. If you left the light on 24 hours a day seven days per week, this would equal 11 years of operation. Simply turning off the LED light from time to time can extend the number of years that the bulb will last. Using an automatic timer is one way to use the bulb only when needed. LED bulbs use less energy than standard incandescent bulbs.
