# How to Replace Baffle With Eyeball Recessed Lights
Recessed lighting is built into the ceiling, for a flush look. The lighting has a baffle around it that you can switch out with a simply plan baffle, or a decorative baffle. The baffle removes without damaging the light, and the removal does not require the use of any tools.

Grasp the edge of the baffle that surrounds the eyeball recessed light.

Pull down on the baffle until it releases from the holding clips. If the baffle does not come out with ease, use a flat object to slide under the baffle’s edge to help pry it loose. The baffle will not come off all of the way as it is still attached to two spring clips.

Push in on the end of the spring clip until it releases the baffle. Repeat for the other spring clip.

Hold the new baffle up while pushing in on the ends of the spring clip until it opens, then slide the baffle into place and release the spring clip. Repeat for the other spring clip.

Push up on the baffle until it snaps back into place in the ceiling.
