How to Clean a Chandelier's Rosette Pieces

A crystal chandelier, with its numerous and intricate pieces, can be a breathtaking source of interior lighting. Over time, the crystal pieces accumulate dust and dirt, dampening the light's effects. Clean a chandelier’s fragile and beautiful rosette pieces to ensure they continue to reflect light. Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the chandelier light, and wait several minutes for the crystal pieces to cool. Spread a thick comforter below the chandelier to cushion pieces that may fall accidentally while you clean the chandelier.

    • 2

Position a stepladder beneath the chandelier so you can reach the light fixture easily.

    • 3

Dust the rosette pieces with a dry dust cloth to remove as much dust as possible.

    • 4

Saturate a paper towel with chandelier spray cleaner. Cover one rosette piece with the saturated paper towel, and use the paper towel to wipe the rosette thoroughly, removing accumulated dust and dirt. Use the same technique to clean and polish each rosette piece until all of them gleam and sparkle.
