Instructions

    • 1

Remove all old items from the tool shed and give it a thorough cleaning to prepare for the man cave transformation. Choose your man cave theme. Common themes include sports team themes or hunting themes, but go with what makes you feel most comfortable.

    • 2

Place a throw rug in the middle of the shed to add coziness to the room. The throw rug can be any material you wish. If your cave is sports themed, choose a green rug to resemble turf or a throw rug with your favorite sports team logo.

    • 3

Add a comfortable chair or a small sofa to the tool shed. If you plan to have friends over, take that into account -- you may need more than one chair. The size of the shed will also influence what kind of furnishings you can add. Comfort should take priority if you plan to spend a lot of time in the shed, but also consider easy-to-clean fabrics such as leather or vinyl. Beer spills don’t clean up as easily off fabric upholstery.

    • 4

Put a compact refrigerator in the shed if the shed has electricity. Otherwise, use an ice chest to store your beverages and snacks.

    • 5

Put a small end table or coffee table within arm’s reach of the furniture if you have enough space for this. The table will come in handy for holding snacks and drinks.

    • 6

Place a television and television stand in the shed if the shed has electricity. Mount a dart board or sports or recreation photos and artwork on the walls.
