DIY Lattice Decorations

Walls and Ceilings

• Cover an accent wall with lattice for a dramatic effect. Lattice can be used for wainscoting as well. Cover the bottom half of the walls in a room with lattice, and top the lattice off with decorative molding. Cover a ceiling with lattice, adding spacers between the lattice and the ceiling. Hang baskets of flowers from the lattice for a country garden feel inside your home. Make an accent on a plain wall on each side of a large piece of furniture, such as a hutch. Cut lattice 2 feet wide and the height of the wall. Add decorative trim on each side of the lattice.

• Make a photo collage picture frame from a strip of lattice by securing photos to the back of the lattice, using the lattice openings for frames. Finish off with decorative trim around the edges. • Cover an open end of the porch with lattice. Train a fragrant flowering vine up the lattice. This will provide privacy as well as add an interesting touch to your porch. Add country charm to your home by adding a lattice underpinning around the bottom of your house. Make lattice planters for your patio or porch. Paint white and add brightly colored flowers. Make a lattice arch at the end of your walkway. Plant flowers to train up the arch. Cover plain window boxes with lattice to create an interesting effect.

• Attach a wide strip of lattice to a wall in the corner of the room and use plastic S hooks to hang stuffed animals. Glue lattice to a wall behind the bed to make a space-saving headboard.
