How to Tie a Universal Chair Cover

Weddings, anniversary celebrations and other special occasions are times when certain chairs, such as folding or metal industrial chairs, just won't do. While you can always rent fancy chairs for such events, purchasing chair covers allows you to instantly transform your humdrum-looking chairs into graceful, elegant pieces of furniture. Universal chair covers work with a variety of chair sizes and shapes. You just need to know the proper way to tie this type of chair cover, so that it securely conceals the furniture.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the universal chair cover over the entire chair. Adjust it so the fabric is straight and covers the legs completely.

    • 2

Walk to the back of the chair and smooth the fabric against the chair back. Grab the excess fabric on the right side of the chair back with one hand. Take the excess fabric from the left side of the chair back with your other hand.

    • 3

Bring your two hands together, pulling the two pieces of fabric together. Depending on the size of your chair, you might be able to tie these two pieces of fabric together in a knot, if the chair you're trying to cover is very small. If it's a big chair, twist the two pieces of fabric together and secure them with a rubber band.
