Brick Styles for Ranch Homes

Brick is known for its attractiveness and versatility as well as its durability in home building. Brick can be used in both the foundation and the exterior design of a ranch home. Due to their simplicity in design and materials, brick ranch homes are typically more affordable than other styles of homes. Ranch-style homes are seen in all areas of the country. Many brick ranches come with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Some styles also include a den or extra space that can be used for storage.
  1. Traditional Brick Ranch

    • Traditional ranch styles fit the lifestyle of an informal western culture. A traditional ranch home style is characterized by classic features. The exterior is constructed of brick, which can come in various colors such as red, white or tan. Traditional brick ranches consist of a foyer, formal dining room, living room or great room, kitchen, and bedrooms. Bay windows may be used to add to the charm of a home. The home may also have a front and back porch. Ceiling treatments such as a tray ceiling or crown molding also fall in line with traditional designs.

    Contemporary Brick Ranch

    • The relaxed, informal style of the traditional ranch home marries with the newer features and amenities of modern homes to form the contemporary brick ranch style. Contemporary homes are characterized by simple, clean lines within the design elements. A contemporary brick ranch style may have an ultra-modern, futuristic or state-of-the-art design layout. Contemporary house plans can mix various home exterior materials such as brick and stucco for a modern look and feel. Many contemporary designs often feature an open floor plan, foyer, large kitchen with island, built-ins, fireplace, ceiling fans, family room, dining room, and a deck or patio.

    Luxury Brick Ranch

    • Luxury brick ranch homes offer plentiful space, beauty and appeal. Although designed with all or most of the rooms on one level, a brick ranch style home can be constructed to resemble the charming amenities of a much larger, stunning estate home. Luxury brick ranches usually have more square footage than typical ranch homes. They also provide high-quality or upgraded amenities, fixtures and features. Luxury ranches may possess a master suite with dual vanities, roomy closets, spacious bedrooms, large bathrooms, ample living space and a garage. Other luxury features may include vaulted ceilings, cathedral ceilings, a breakfast area, gourmet kitchen, entertaining space, and a right wing and a left wing of the house.

    Country Brick Ranch

    • A country ranch is a type of American home style. This style resonates with comfort and welcoming hospitality. Country ranch homes incorporate natural elements such as wood, logs and branches into the home design. Country homes typically include a porch, patio or both. Country brick ranches will mostly be situated in rural settings surrounded by trees or land. The exterior facades of a country ranch will most likely be made of a mixture of brick and wood, featuring shingles on the roof. The country ranch may also include a large overhang to protect the property structure from the sun and other elements.
