How to Decorate With Fiesta Dinnerware

Fiesta dinnerware is ideal for bringing a touch of the southwest to your home. Fiesta dinnerware is usually made of pottery clay or earthenware and comes in a variety of bright colors, including red, green, yellow and blue. Fiesta Ware can be found in many home decor or retail stores as well as online, making it easy to select pieces to complement your fiesta-themed kitchen.

Instructions

    • 1

Display Fiesta dinner plates in plate holders on your counter space. Choose either colorful fiesta patterns or solid fiesta colors such as bright yellow, blue or red. Display a color or patterned plate on each end of a long counter with a centerpiece plate that features hand-painted scenery.

    • 2

Stack small fiesta bowls, such as those used for chips and salsa in Mexican restaurants, on smaller counters or place cups and saucers on top of one another in front of larger dinner plate displays. Arrange them unevenly so the stack is slightly crooked and doesn't look planned, then distribute a couple of fiesta bowls around the base of the stack. This is a decorative move that can also be functional, particularly if your family likes chips and dip. It keeps the bowls within easy reach.

    • 3

Fill Fiesta salsa bowls with cinnamon candy or colorful potpourri and distribute the bowls over your counter space to add visual appeal and fragrance. The candy makes an ideal snack too.

Take advantage of the top of your refrigerator to display a Fiesta Ware ceramic pot or a colorful dinnerware plate that has an intricate pattern painted around the edge.

    • 5

Hang ceramic Fiesta cups on a wooden wall hanger and place them on the wall space behind your counter or beside your refrigerator. Vary the colors. Part of the fun of Fiesta Ware is the variety of colors and patterns available, so use a variety of colors and arrange them in patterns. Display cups by stacking them in a corner of your counter or on a shelf near the sink or refrigerator.

Set your table with wicker place mats and the Fiesta dinnerware your family uses most frequently. Traditional silverware can be used, but for decorative purposes, wooden utensils add to the earthy appeal of the Fiesta dinner settings.
