How to Hide a Desk in a Kitchen

Place a decorative silk screen in front of the desk if you are able to tuck the desk in a corner of the kitchen.

Place a photo screen in front of the desk. This is similar to a silk screen, but it is composed of picture frames into which you can add your favorite pictures.

Place the desk next to a wall that is slightly recessed. Install a curtain rod over the desk and hang a floor-length curtain to conceal the area.

Place several large potted plants or indoor potted trees in front of the desk when you aren't using it.

Place a cupboard or armoire in the kitchen that features closing cabinet doors and side shelves. Place work supplies inside the cabinet and use this area as a desk when necessary. Keep the doors closed to hide the desk portion of the piece of furniture when not in use. Decorate the side shelves with plates, glasses, pitchers or bowls to continue the kitchen theme.
