Draw a Bagua map. Take a piece of paper and draw a nine-square grid, consisting of three rows of three.
Label each section of the grid. Label the top row from left to right "Wealth and Prosperity," "Fame and Reputation" and "Love and Marriage." Label the middle row from left to right "Health and Family," "Center -- Earth" and "Creativity and Children." Label the bottom row from left to right "Knowledge and Self-Cultivation," "Career" and "Helpful People and Travel."
Make a simple drawing of the ground floor of your home. Add lines to represent the interior walls of the ground floor.
Place the Bagua map over the top of your simple blueprint. Position the map so that the front door is located along one of the bottom three squares on your map. This will show you which areas of your home as a whole represent the different aspects of your life.
Repeat the process for the first and second floors of your home, then repeat again for each individual room in your home.
Look at the specific areas of the Bagua map and decide in which aspects of your life you want to make a change or improvement.
Make specific improvements for each area of the Bagua map by applying the correct colors to the appropriate areas. On the top row of the map, use blues, purples and reds in the wealth and prosperity corner; the fame and reputation area represents the fire element, so use reds and oranges; and use reds, pinks and white in the love and marriage corner.
On the middle row of the map, the health and family corner represents the element wood, so use blues and greens; the middle of the map represents earth, so use earthy tones in browns and yellows; and the creativity and children area of the map represents the metal element, so use white and pastels.
On the bottom row of the map, use black, blues and greens in the knowledge and self-cultivation corner; the career section represents the element water, so use blacks and dark hues; and use white, grays and black in the helpful people and travel corner.
