How to Decorate a Girl's Room With a Toy Story Theme

Disney-Pixar's "Toy Story" features characters that appeal to both boys and girls in a wide range of ages. Because "Toy Story" features such a variety of characters, decorating a girl's bedroom in this theme is easy to do. By focusing on those characters that appeal more to girls, you can create a "Toy Story" bedroom theme for your little girl that she and her friends can enjoy.

Instructions

    • 1

Paint the walls in the room bright yellow, red, blue or pink. These colors are incorporated heavily into the "Toy Story" movies. Pink might work particularly well for a girl's room. Place a "Toy Story" border around the top of the room that features all of the characters. Replace a plain light switch with a "Toy Story" switch cover. Paint scenes on the walls using stencils or affix "Toy Story" wall stickers to create scenes from the movie.

Decorate the floor with a "Toy Story" area rug and use a "Toy Story" bedspread on the bed. Arrange plush toy characters on the bed, like Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie. Place "Toy Story" lampshades over each of the lamps in the room.

Arrange "Toy Story" figurines on white or pink wall shelves. Place the focus on Jessie, as opposed to Woody and Buzz, although no "Toy Story" room is complete without including those main characters as well. Don't forget Mrs. Potato Head, Barbie and Bo Peep as well, since these are strong female characters in the "Toy Story" trilogy.

Set a "Toy Story" toy box at the foot of the bed and open it. Then fill it with plush toy characters so it looks as if they are climbing out of the box.
