Choose photographs to use in the collage. Pick images around a theme, such as beach vacation, holidays or birthday parties as one idea. Use random black and white and color photos as another option.
Place the selected photos into frames. Pick frames that feature one common element, such as color, shape or size, to create a cohesive look. Choose all square or all black frames, for example.
Arrange the photo collage on the floor or a table before hanging the frames to see how it will look when on the wall.
Hammer nails into wall at the points where the frames will hang. Use a tape measure to create the same, precise distances between each frame if you desire. Use a carpentry level to ensure that the nails are even.
Hang the frames on the wall, starting with the center photographs and work your way out.
