How to Build a Pegboard Jewelry Holder

Keep your jewelry organized and easy to find by building a pegboard jewelry holder. Tossing jewelry in dresser drawers or jewelry boxes can lead to a knotted mess of necklaces and bracelets, which can result in frustration and time wasted while untangling jewelry. Without a proper place to store jewelry, it can be easy to misplace and lose favorite pieces after placing them in various locations, from vanities to dresser tops to nightstands. By creating a pegboard jewelry holder, you can have a designated space to store your jewelry while making sure your favorite necklaces and bracelets remain untangled and ready to wear.

Instructions

    • 1

Paint the pegboard in a color of your choice using spray paint. Evenly spray a coat of paint by holding the can about 1 1/2 feet away, then spraying the pegboard back and forth, while slowly working down the board until the entire surface is covered. Let the board dry for an hour.

Add some color to the frame by spray painting it, too. Select a color that compliments the color of the board. Let the frame dry.

    • 3

Apply a strip of glue around the inside of the frame. Place the pegboard into the frame, so that the pegged side faces outward. Further secure the pegboard in the frame by pressing any metal snaps or hinges on the back of the frame.
