How to Find the Year of My Ridgeway Grandfather Clock

If you have an old Ridgeway grandfather clock in your home, you may be wondering if you can find out more about it. Knowing the year your Ridgeway clock was manufactured can help you determine its value or just give you some interesting information.

Instructions

    • 1

Pull the Ridgeway grandfather clock away from the wall. Turn the clock so you can clearly see the back of the unit.

    • 2

Locate the plate on the back of the clock that contains its serial number and model number. Read the serial number carefully.

    • 3

Look at the first two digits of the Ridgeway grandfather clock. Those first two digits represent the year the clock was made; i.e., a clock that was manufactured in 1980 would have "80" as the first two digits of its serial number.
