Determine where you'll hang the sign. If it's a heavy sign made of metal or glass, and you're going to display it for a business, it's important to be mounted where it will receive the most visibility but pose the least amount of risk to patrons. Be sure to check with your local city officials regarding permission, licenses or rules to follow before displaying your sign.
Mark the corners of your sign with a pencil, in the position you plan to hang it on the wall. Drill small, shallow holes into each mark, using a small electric or cordless drill. Using the screws that come with the wall mount kit, screw the wall mounts into the holes.
Screw the sign into the wall mounts using the included screws. If your sign did not come with screws, you can adjust the wall mounts to hold the sign in place, top to bottom, by sliding a plastic sign cover through the wall mounts and then sliding the sign under the plastic cover.
Decide how the sign will be displayed. Since you'll be hanging it from the ceiling, the sign should be light and easy to move. Drop ceilings with metal grids are ideal, but if you want the sign flush to the ceiling, without grids, you must use mountable clips. For an added effect, you can use suspension wires to give the sign a little swing to it.
Climb a ladder carefully to the top of the ceiling, and snap two hanging clips in place on the grids -- spaced approximately the length of your sign. If your ceiling does not have grids, mount two hanging clips using the included screws into the ceiling, and then suspend the sign between the clips.
Drill two small holes approximately 1 inch away from the top-right and top-left corners of the sign you want to suspend. Feed suspension wire through the holes, knotting each end securely. Then climb the ladder and secure the wire between the hanging clips, safely hanging your sign.
