How to Repair the Massager on a Lane Living Room Sectional

Some Lane brand sectional sofas come with a built-in massage unit on the upper, lower or full back of one or two of the sofa sections. The massage feature is controlled using a remote control or using the controls on the armrest of the sofa. While the massager's electronics should work well under most circumstances, if the massage unit is not working, some troubleshooting may resolve the situation.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the battery cover on the back of the massage remote control and replace the batteries with new batteries, placing the “+” symbol on the battery where the “+” symbol is indicated in the battery compartment and the “-“ symbol on the battery where the “-“ symbol is indicated. Press the batteries into the compartment firmly and close the compartment cover.

    • 2

Check the power supply cord that connects the massage mechanism to the power supply and tighten the power connection as necessary. Plug the massage mechanism power cord into a working power outlet. Replace or reset the fuse or circuit breaker as needed.

    • 3

Switch the massage mechanism “Off” and wait a few minutes and then turn the unit “On” again to perform a reset.

    • 4

Turn off the massager on both the remote control and the primary controls if the massager is still not working and allow the unit to cool for between 30 and 60 minutes, as the massage unit may have overheated.
