How to Hide a Large TV in the Corner

An oversized television may make for better viewing, but can turn into a decor eyesore. Even the most sleek and stylish TV sets can look out of place or obtrusive in a well-decorated living room, family room or bedroom. Instead of giving in and leaving your room as is, disguise your large television by hiding it in the corner. Using a simple camouflage method provides an easy option for taking the TV out of the room without actually having to move it.

Instructions

Coordinate a decorative privacy screen with your overall room decor scheme. Choose a slick looking, solid metallic screen for a contemporary or modern feel, a stained wood screen for an old-world look or a floral or Asian inspired print for a more romantic style. Create a monotone look with a screen in the same colors as walls or flooring, or make a dramatic statement with a contrasting palette.

Set up your screen in front of the television. Hiding a corner TV means that you will need to open and angle the decorative screen so that it fully camouflages the set. Place one side of the screen almost touching the wall to the left of the television and the other almost touching the wall to the right.

Place one or two decorative accents in front of or to the side of the screen for added camouflage. Add a tall potted house plant to one side of the screen or a tall, standing vase near the front.
