How to Frame a Mirrored Wall

A long tall wall mirror opens up your home, but without a frame, it can look plain and rather dull. The harsh edges of a bare wall mirror take away from your home décor efforts, especially when you are invested in a softer look, so give your wall mirror a frame. A large mirror requires a large frame, and PVC baseboards give you plenty of options when you want to give your wall mirror some pizzazz.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure each side of your wall mirror.

    • 2

Cut four lengths of PVC baseboards that match the measurements you found in step one using a circular saw.

    • 3

Bevel the end of each piece of baseboard to a 45-degree angle, allowing the four pieces you cut to fit together like a picture frame.

    • 4

Mix your clear epoxy glue in a disposable container using a paint stirrer. Epoxy glue comes in two parts and must be mixed before it can be used.

    • 5

Paint the back of one of the lengths of PVC baseboard with epoxy glue using a paintbrush.

    • 6

Press it against the corresponding edge of the mirror.

    • 7

Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for each edge of your mirror.

    • 8

Allow the glue to cure completely. The time that is required is stated on the glue’s packaging.
