How to Hang a Baby Corner Hammock

Baby hammocks are designed to mock the natural curvature of the womb and provide a supportive cocoon to ease babies to sleep. Baby hammocks can be hung from the ceiling, but ceiling drywall is not supportive enough to hold the weight of the baby and hammock. Proper installation of your baby hammock will ensure your baby is safe.

Stud finder
Phillips screwdriver or electric drill

Instructions

  Find a corner to hang the baby hammock in the room.

  Find the ceiling joist in that area of the room with a stud finder. Place the stud finder flat against the ceiling. Move it from left to right until it notifies you that it has found the joist. Mark the joist with a pencil.

  Drill a 1/4 inch pilot hole that is 1.5 to 2 inches deep into the pencil mark with a Phillips screwdriver or power hand drill.

  Twist the eye lag -- also known as an eye screw -- into the pilot hole with your hands. Twist the eye lag straight into the joist.

  Slip the included springs onto the hook of the eye lag.

  Slip the spring clip to the bottom of the spring.

  Open the clip and insert the harness ring at the top of the baby hammock into the clip. The baby hammock is now installed.
