How to Frame a Mirrored Door

A mirrored door adds dimension and utility to your room, but if you are tired of its plain look, dress it up with a frame. Framing a mirrored door gives it an attractive border that draws the eye. It also takes away from the severe edge of the glass and can even provide the mirror with additional protection. A tile frame adds a new visual element to the mirror and gives your room additional texture and color.

Instructions

    • 1

Go over the glass with glass cleaner and a clean cloth. Allow the mirror to dry thoroughly.

    • 2

Apply a small amount of silicone adhesive to the back of a 1-by-1-inch mosaic tile, and press into a corner of the mirrored door.

    • 3

Create a row of tiles all the way around the door. If you come to the end of one row, and the remaining space is too small for a full tile, cut the tile with a pair of tile cutters. Place one row of tiles around the door for a simple narrow border, or add two or three rows for a wider border.
