Instructions

  1. Frost Them

    • 1

Decide on a design for your bifold mirrors and obtain a sheet of frosted window glass contact paper. To modernize the bedroom, go with a sleek geometric design, such as circles, squares or stripes.

    • 2

Cut the contact paper into the desired shapes. Hold them up to the mirror as you go to get an idea of how they might look.

    • 3

Wipe the mirror surface clean with a lint-free cloth and rubbing alcohol.

    • 4

Peel the backing off the contact paper and apply them to the mirrors as desired.

    Cover Them

    • 5

Measure the height and width of the bifold doors. Add 2 inches to the height and 2 inches to the width.

    • 6

Select a contact paper for your doors. This can be a print, a faux stainless steel or wood finish or frosted glass contact paper. Cut a piece of contact paper for each bifold door panel according to your calculations.

    • 7

Wipe the door clean with a lint-free rag and rubbing alcohol. Wipe around the edges of each bifold panel as well, going all around the door.

    • 8

Peel the backing off a piece of contact paper and position it on one of the door panels. Smooth it to remove wrinkles and air bubbles and fold the overlapping edges around the sides of the panel. Repeat the process for the other bifold panels.

    Glass Droplets

    • 9

Wipe the doors with alcohol and a lint-free rag.

    • 10

Select a collection of glass pebbles with a flat bottom from a craft store. Use all the same colors or mix and match colors.

    • 11

Hot glue the pebbles to the front glass of the bifold doors to create texture, as in glass art. Glue as many or as few as you desire.
