Instructions

Paint the sloped walls. Instead of painting these walls the same color as the rest of the space, use a different color. Select a color that coordinates with the rest of the colors in the room; for example, a darker shade of green if the rest of the room is green. To make a bolder statement, paint these walls a color that contrasts with the rest of the space; burnt orange in a room that features wheat on the remaining walls, for instance.

Cover sloped walls with wallpaper. Select a type of wallpaper that features a design that works with the color scheme and design of the room. In a light pink, country-chic room, hang pink toile wallpaper on the sloped walls, for example. In a black and white contemporary room, use wallpaper that features black and white geometric prints.

Hang fabric on the sloped walls to add softness and whimsy to the space. Like the wallpaper, choose a fabric that works with the rest of the space; sheer fabrics in a beach-inspired room or crushed velvet to create a regal look. Hang the fabric from the top to the bottom of the wall in a flat panel, or gently bunch it to create a soft, textured look.

Install flat-paneled mirrors along the sloped walls. Choose a single size and shape of mirror and hang them in the same direction along the walls. For instance, affix three or four rectangular mirrors side-by-side along these walls. Alternatively, you can select a different sized and shaped mirrors to and hang them in random groupings to create a haphazard look.
