Bear Silhouette Decor

Bear silhouette decor comes in many styles featuring brown bears, black bears and grizzlies. This type of decor focuses on the outline of the bear's body in various positions and settings. Use bear silhouette decor to dress up a country style bedroom or create an entire kitchen featuring all sorts of bear silhouettes and shapes.
  1. Kitchen Items

    • Kitchen items such as plates, cups, bowls and other dinnerware showcase bear silhouettes in various settings. The designs often feature trees, mountains, rocks, leaves and other nature silhouettes alongside the bear. You can pair these items with other types of bear silhouette decor such as hand towels, cookie jars, kitchen rugs and fridge magnets. Place other nature decor such as ivy vines or other plants on top of your kitchen cabinets if you have 6 or more inches of space from the top of the cabinet to the ceiling.
You can make your theme stand out even more by using a bear silhouette wall back-splash to go with the other kitchen bear decor. Create a background on the wall using bear stencils and paint, wallpaper or wall decals. Wall decals stick easily on the wall because of the adhesive on the back. Remove the adhesive backing and press the design firmly on the wall. One idea is to feature a standard bear silhouette decal sticker on the wall and place bear paw print decals around the main image. If you want to use stencils, trace the design on the wall with a pencil and then use a small paint brush and light brown, medium brown or black paint to fill the traced shape in with paint.

    Furniture and Lamps

    • Bear silhouette furniture showcases engraved bear shadows on the front of end tables, tables and other types of wooden furniture. Some fabric couches also display a bear silhouette pattern that goes well with wooden furnishings and lamps with an iron brown bear silhouette near the base of the lamp.
You can also use stencils to draw a bear shape on old wooden furniture and then use a carving tool to carve your own bear shapes on the furniture. Leave the carved shape as it is, or use a small paint brush to paint the shape and make the silhouette stand out more. Add to the country look of your home by pairing bear silhouette furniture with stools, nightstands or end tables made with tree stumps.

    Rugs, Curtains and Pillows

    • You can also find rugs, curtains and pillows with a bear silhouettes in the pattern. Look for matching or similar curtains and rugs to go in the living room room or office. These patterns often feature neutral or nature-inspired colors such as ivory, slate, sage, forest green and red.
You can also make some of your own bear silhouette items with felt bear shapes, fabric and a needle and thread. Use a needle and thread to attach the felt bear pieces to existing country style pillows, curtains or blankets in the room.

    Wall Decor

    • Bear silhouette wall decor comes in many styles and patterns. You can find quilted wall hangings showcasing bears in the forest or look for actual pictures that reveal a bear shadow alongside a sandy beach with a sunset in the background. Many cabin-inspired bear wall decor is made from iron pieces that blend well with lamps and other standard bear decor. The iron designs may feature bears surrounded by trees and mountains. Make some of your own wall decor by using stencils to trace bears on brown and black card stock. You can attach small paper bears to the corner of picture frames or make your own bear silhouette collage and frame it.
