How to Decorate Wall Mirrors With Greenery

Mirrors aren’t just for checking your makeup or seeing how your outfit looks; they can also be used as a decorating tool. Mirrors provide a focal point in a large room while helping a small room appear bigger. A wall of mirrors can be defined and adorned with greenery — attach silk greens and flowers for an indoor garden that never needs watering.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert a glue stick into the back of a glue gun. Plug in the glue gun and allow it to heat up. Test the gun before using it by squeezing a bit of glue onto paper; if the glue flows easily, then it is ready to use.

    • 2

Coat the back of silk flowers, such as daisies or roses, with glue from the glue gun. Arrange the flowers in a pattern of your choice on the wall of mirrors. You may leave an inch or two of space between each flower or place one right next to the other for an enclosed circle. Complete the look by adding silk ivy, which can be weaved through the flowers.

    • 3

Line the back of silk greenery with glue and stick it to a wall of mirrors in a decorative sequence. Start at the bottom, as if the greenery is growing out of the floor, and work your way toward the top of the mirror so that it looks like one long vine. Make branches with the greenery by extending the silk vine out to the sides of the original stem.

    • 4

Place silk flowers on the branches of the greenery to replicate flowers growing on a vine or tree. Stick the flowers to the mirror or greens by coating the backs with glue from the glue gun. Choose different colored flowers to either match or accent the existing color scheme of the room.

Add strands of baby’s breath to enhance the greenery. Stick the baby’s breath to the mirrors by either using the glue gun or weaving it through the silk ivy.
