Instructions

    • 1

Measure the area that you want to fence in. Purchase enough vinyl lattice sections to equal the dimensions of the area.

    • 2

Use a post-hole digger to dig 2-foot-by-2-foot holes in the ground. Space the holes out so that they are equal to the width of the sections of vinyl. For example, if the vinyl sections are 4 feet wide, space the holes four feet apart.

    • 3

Set three shovels full of dirt into the bottom of each hole.

    • 4

Set one end of a 2-by-4 pressure-treated posts into each hole. The posts should be 2 feet taller than the height of the lattice panels.

    • 5

Set a level on top of the posts, and position them until they are level.

    • 6

Pour one 80-pound bag of ready-to-mix concrete into a wheelbarrow. Make a dent in the center of the concrete with a shovel. Pour about 3 quarts of water into the dent in the center of the concrete. Mix the cement and water with a trowel hoe. Add more water to the mixture until it reaches an oatmeal-like consistency.

    • 7

Fill the remainder of the holes around the base of the posts with concrete.

    • 8

Position a section of lattice between two fence posts so that the top of the lattice is flush with the tops of the wooden posts. Drill 8-inch wood screws through the top, middle and bottom of each side of the lattice and into the wooden posts. Continue the process of installing the vinyl lattice sections so that the tops are flush with the tops of the wooden posts until the fence is completed.
