How to Get Wrinkles Out of Drafting Table Covers

A drafting table refers to a piece of furniture that is part table and part desk, used primarily by artists, architects and craftspeople. Drafting tables often consist of steel or wood with angled top surfaces that have adjustable heights. A drafting table cover is essentially a large piece of vinyl that you place over the table to protect it from spills, the wind and for privacy. If your drafting table cover has unsightly wrinkles in it, you can remove those wrinkles the way you would with a vinyl tablecloth.

• Towels
• Dryer
• Flat surface

     Dampen three towels with cold water and wring them out. Place them in your dryer.

     Add the drafting table cover to the dryer with the towels. Place the dryer on the lowest setting.

   • 3

     Check on the drafting table cover every two to three minutes or so until all the heat coaxes all the wrinkles out.

   • 4

     Lay the drafting table cover on the flat surface of a standard table as it cools off. This will prevent more wrinkles from forming.
