How to Place Photos on Stairwells

The stairwell, for example, is a spot that can be enhanced with the addition of photographs. Proper placement is important when hanging photos in this location.

     Look for photo frames that are about the same size. You can mix and match styles as long as the sizes are about even, and the styles and colors are similar.

     Space each photo at least one stair apart. Putting space in between helps avoid a crowded look.

     Measure upward from every other stair 62 inches.

   • 4

     Place each photo frame's center at the 62 inch height that you measured. This is an appropriate eye height for placing photos on stairwells.
