Instructions

    • 1

Cut a large piece of cardboard so that it is 2 in. wide and 28 in. long. Cut two blocks of floral foam to approximately 2 in. wide and 14 in. long. Each block should be 3 to 4 in. deep.

    • 2

Hot glue the blocks of floral foam to the pieces of cardboard with a hot glue gun. Cut an 8-in. piece of floral wire with a pair of wire cutters. Bend the wire in half and shape the wire into a hook.

    • 3

Hot glue the bottom of the hook to the back of the cardboard, in the exact middle toward the top. This is how you will hang the swag on the wall. Cut a 2-in. piece of ribbon and glue it on top of the base of the wire hook to cover the mechanics.

    • 4

Cut a piece of ribbon that is 18 in. long by 2 in. wide. Fashion it into a bow that is 4 in. wide. Cut the tails so that they are 6 to 8 in. long. Place the bow in the top middle of the foam. Glue it in place.

    • 5

Use craft wire, the glue gun or the wire already attached to attach faux or dried flowers, leaves, berries, pine cones, pods and seed heads throughout the foam, arranging it into a thick floral display. You can stick to just one or two colors or fill it with a range of colorful flowers.
