- 1/4 cup trisodium phosphate
- 1 gallon of water
- Scrub brush
- 100-grit sandpaper
- Electric sander
- 220-grit sandpaper
- 360-grit sandpaper
- Tack cloth
- 3-inch nylon brush
- Clear or tinted polyurethane

Combine 1/4 cup trisodium phosphate with 1 gallon of water. Combine them together in a bucket. Dip a scrub brush in the liquid and scrub down the table, removing tough stains and caked-on grease.

Pat the table down with old clean towels and allow it to air dry. Press a piece of 100-grit sandpaper down on the bottom of an electric sander and run the sander across the surface of the table. Repeat with 220-grit sandpaper and 360-grit sandpaper.

Run a tack cloth across the table to wipe off the dust from sanding.

Dip a 3-inch nylon paintbrush in a can of clear or tinted polyurethane finish. Cover the table with a light coat of polyurethane. Allow it to dry overnight and then cover it again with another coat of polyurethane.
