DIY Toilet Tissue Storage Tower

Few people have all the storage space that they need in their bathrooms. That's why it's sometimes necessary to implement creative storage ideas. For example, buying toilet paper in bulk saves money and time, but it can be tricky to find a proper place to put all those rolls of toilet paper and storing them elsewhere in your home simply isn't practical. A toilet paper roll tower can fit nicely besides your toilet and you can make one in an hour that suits your decor perfectly.

Instructions

    • 1

Spray paint the wooden handle of a brand new plunger. Allow it to dry overnight and apply another coat of spray paint, if you like.

    • 2

Cut a piece of thick, soft fabric in a color that matches your bathroom decor into a 12-inch square. Materials such as velvet, velour, terry cloth or flannel are appropriate.

    • 3

Place the square of fabric on a flat surface. Set the rubber end of the plunger directly onto the center of it. Pull up the sides of the fabric around the plunger, holding it at the base.

    • 4

Wrap a rubber band around the bunched up fabric at the base of the plunger to hold it all together. Trim off the excess fabric.

    • 5

Cut a 12-inch piece of ribbon and wrap it around the rubber band to cover it. Tie a festive bow. Place your spools of toilet paper onto the wooden handle in a neat stack.
