How to Decorate Inside Drawers

Measure the dimensions of the bottom of the drawer, and cut a piece of cardboard that is the same size and a piece of brightly colored fabric that is 1 inch larger on all sides. Fold the edges of the fabric securely around the cardboard, and secure the fabric with stitches. Drop the fabric-covered rectangle into the drawer, pressing it down to lie flat. Use a fabric that matches your home decor or a fabric that provides a splash of color to an otherwise plain area.

Paint the interior of the drawer a bright color, using acrylic paint and a paintbrush. This is a simple and straightforward project that requires little time and no measuring or cutting. Paint each drawer in the piece of furniture a different color, or use the same color for an elegant and coordinated look.
