How to Match Casa De Colour Prefinished Flooring

Casa de Colour refers to a specific line of wood flooring manufactured by a company called Durawood. These varieties of wood floor already bear a tinted hue, with evocative names like "Tobacco Road," "Amber Oak" and "Moano Maple." These names reflect the rich colors and hues the floors bear. If you have installed or simply chosen a Casa de Colour variety floor and want to match it to a set of cupboards, a dining room set, or desk and chair, it is recommended that you do so strategically.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit the store where you purchased or ordered your Casa de Colour floor and purchase square or rectangular floor samples of your chosen finish.

    • 2

Take your floor samples to the store or area where the designated furniture or fixtures are. If possible, take a single piece of furniture outdoors to natural light, or push it beside a window. For example, if you can take a single cabinet door or desk drawer outside you can truly compare it to the sample, to see if the shades of wood match closely enough.

    • 3

Hold the floor sample against the piece of furniture or fixture. Turn it back and forth to see how it looks against the large piece with the sun hitting it from different directions. Casa de Colour wood shades often have strong hints of red tones in them so make sure your furniture or fixture reflects that.
