How to Decorate a Wrestling-Themed Room

A wrestling-themed room is a popular choice for young boys' bedrooms, but it's also a suitable choice for a bachelor pad, home gaming room or home office. Designing a room with a wrestling theme for an adult requires careful execution, as you don't want it to look overly childish. However, with proper planning and just the right amount of themed accessories you can create a stylish and sophisticated themed room.

Instructions

    • 1

Keep the walls and floor neutral so that they don't distract from the detail of the themed accessories or create an over-the-top look. Use wood flooring to recreate the feel of a wrestling gym and paint the walls with neutral colors, such as a rich cream.

    • 2

Use a stencil to create a logo on the wall. If you're feeling artistic, create it yourself. To create the WWE logo, mask off an area of the wall and paint a black square, then paint the white and red logo onto the black background. Place the logo over the study desk, the television or the headboard in the bedroom.

    • 3

Attach wall rings to the corners of each wall at chair-rail height. Pass red rope through the rings to create the effect of a wrestling ring, while adding interest to the walls.

    • 4

Dedicate one wall for displaying replica championship belts, wrestling masks, framed signed photographs and tickets and photographs from wrestling matches you have attended. On a different wall attach a mural of a favorite wrestler. With the red rope, this will create the effect of him (or her) standing in the ring.

    • 5

Scatter rugs on the floor featuring logos or images. Add cushions, throws and bedding in colors to match the logo and tie the colors in the room together. Add a fun novelty cushion featuring a favorite wrestler.

    • 6

Dress the windows with curtains and blinds that continue the color scheme. Themed WWE curtains are available, but beware of using too much themed decor and losing the "adult" feel of the room.

    • 7

Hang a punching bag in one corner of the room. This makes for interesting decor, a great workout or simply something to entertain your friends.

    • 8

Display a collection of wrestling DVDs and books on shelves
